                                        FOLLICULAR HYPERKERATOSIS It is a skin condition characterized by thickening of outermost layer of skin due to the deposition of keratin in the hair follicles leading to the appearance of elevated cone shaped papules on the skin surface. It is commonly observed in children and subsides by the time they reach adolescence. Causes:- Vitamin A deficiency Prolonged exposure to arsenic Sensitivity to drugs like Vemurafenib or Dabrafenib Other underlying conditions like lupus, scleroderma, eczema, psoriasis Signs and Symptoms It is usually self-diagnosable as per the appearance of the papules Usually, the arms, thighs, cheeks, and buttocks are where the pimples are found.
