                                   Monkey Pox Virus  This virus causes an infectious viral disease which can affect humans and other animals. Orthopox virus belonging from the family of variola virus (smallpox) causes this disease . It got its name because this condition was first observed in laboratory monkeys, hence the name. In the year 2022 also, India reported certain cases of monkey pox, but in this year 2024, this condition has originated in a rapid manner all across the globe. Earlier it was endemic to the African region. At least  99,176 cases and 208 deaths due to monkeypox have been reported from 116 countries since 2022, according to WHO data.                                                  CHANDIPURA VIRUS Chandipura virus (CHPV) is a relatively rare but serious viral infection that primarily affects children. It's named after the village in Maharashtra, India, where it was first identified in 1965. How it spreads CHPV is primarily transmitted through the bite of infected sandflies, though some mosquito species and ticks can also be carriers. Symptoms The onset of symptoms is often rapid and severe. Common symptoms include: High fever Headache Vomiting Diarrhoea Seizures Altered mental state In severe cases, the infection can lead to encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), which can be fatal.
