OVARIAN HYPER STIMULATION SYNDROME A problem known as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) can happen to women receiving in vitro fertilization (IVF) or ovulation induction therapy. It occurs when fertility drugs that increase egg production cause the ovaries to overreact. As a result, the ovaries swell and start to contain fluid-filled sacs called follicles. Risk factors acting as causes:- You receive a shot of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). You get more than one dose of hCG after ovulation. You become pregnant during this cycle.
