Cryptosporiodosis

ACUTE GASTROENTERITIS A protozoan called Cryptosporidium causes acute gastroenteritis in a wide range of vertebrates, including humans.  Consisting of diarrhoea and abdominal pain, the condition mimics the symptoms of choleric infection.  The parasite produces life-threatening, protracted infections in immunocompromised hosts. Mode of infection and spread:- Crypto can be found in food, drink, soil, or surfaces that have come into contact with animal or human excrement. It is spread in a similar way of how cholera spreads like: Swallowing contaminated water while swimming or drinking Staying in close proximity with the domestic animals like calves and goats. Symptoms:- Watery diarrhea Stomach cramps Loss of appetite Weight loss Slight fever Vomiting Thus, if we are aware of the symptoms, we can determine which organs—that is, our entire digestive system—will be affect...
