Unexplained Hair Loss

USEFUL BUT IGNORED REASONS

Hi! whenever I scroll down the social media platforms , I usually find various "effective" hair products that can benefit you in several ways like:- hair fall control, dandruff control, early graying of hair etc.

But for what reason that I do not understand is how to decide if these products will be beneficial to oneself or not? It can only be decided if we are fully aware about the cause that is leading to such conditions.

Let me give you an example! I hope everyone will be able to relate with that because I am going to consider the recent Corona pandemic that we all went through globally. But if noticed that we were only able to combat that deadly situation after proper research and establishing the target . After that the results were promising.

Now consider the major problem of hair fall among men and women. I hear people talking about hair fall and blaming it on the seasons and literally people have come up with strange reasons to justify their hair loss. So today I just thought that why not provide my readers a useful insight into this major concern.

Lets talk about Hair Loss which is technically called "ALOPECIA".

Let's know the various causes:-

  • The most prevalent kind of hair loss, androgenetic alopecia, affects both men and women. It is brought on by a mix of hormones, particularly dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and genetics.

  • Menopause, pregnancy, and childbirth: During various phases of life, hormonal changes may cause transient hair loss.

  • Thyroid disorders: Hair growth may be impacted by conditions such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
Health issues:

  • An autoimmune condition called alopecia areata results in patchy hair loss on the scalp, beard, and occasionally other body areas.

  • Scalp infections: Hair loss may result from fungus infections such as ringworm.

  • Autoimmune diseases: Hair loss can result from conditions like lichen planus and lupus.

  • Skin disorders: Psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis are two disorders of the scalp that can cause hair loss.
Drugs and therapies:

  • Chemotherapy: Hair loss is a side effect of some cancer therapies.

  • Drugs: Hair loss is a side effect of several drugs, such as blood thinners, high blood pressure, arthritis, and depression.

  • Hair loss may result from radiation therapy administered to the head.

Additional reasons:

  • Stress: Temporary hair loss may result from emotional or physical stress.

  • Tight hairstyles: Excessive hair pulling can harm hair follicles and result in hair loss.

  • Nutritional deficiencies: Hair loss may result from a lack of iron, protein, zinc, or biotin.

  • Ageing: As we age, our hair naturally becomes thinner.

# It's critical to consult a physician if you're having hair loss in order to identify the underlying cause and go over treatment alternatives.
