Oral Cancer

                                     “ORAL CANCER- wake up time”

One kind of cancer that appears in the mouth and throat is called oral cancer. Any area of the mouth, including the lips, tongue, cheeks, gums, roof of the mouth, and floor of the mouth, may be impacted.

Increasing the likelihood of a cure for oral cancer requires early detection and treatment.

The following are a few risk factors for oral cancer:

  • Use of tobacco, such as chewing tobacco,
  • smoking cigarettes, or cigars
  • excessive drinking
  • Infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV)
  • Sun exposure on the lips
  • A compromised defense mechanism

See a physician or dentist if any of the following oral cancer symptoms persist for longer than two weeks:
  • An ulcer that doesn't go away on your lip or in your mouth
  • A area of white or reddish color on the interior of your mouth
  • Mobile teeth
  • An enlargement or bump in your mouth
  • oral discomfort
  • ear ache
  • Painful or challenging swallowing
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Absence of any obvious reason for numbness, pain, or soreness on your face, neck, or mouth
